mexico~

popped down to mexico on Wed for a 2 day trip... was expecting to see some veri lok kok places and chaotic and such... but to my suprised... it was quite a nice place to be... mabbe unlike the US, mexico dun realli have high rise buildings..but their architecture style was nice and pretty cool...we got to see San Diego old town, Tijuana(the border town of Mexico), Ensenda, and quite a few other spots in San Diego and Mexico... the view was always spectacular and nice...especially the beaches which seems to glitter in the sunlight... food was good throughout the whole 2 day trip...with endless buffets and sumptuous mexican food and oriental food... the tour guide was nice too... and because there's oni 8 of us in this tour...we took a passenger van instead of a big bus..and tt allows us to save lotsa time... overall...it was a damn nice trip la... let the pics prove themselves...

viva Las Vegas~!

okiez...finalli decided to haul my lazy ass and get to some updates... been nua-ing over updating for a while but since the vegas and mexico trip are over... shall update everything on it ba....

went down to vegas last weekend...took this tour from online... 100 plus for a 3D2N tour... costwise..it's quite cheap..but on some part of the trips irks mi abit... the tour guide was a chinese guy...and the whole tour bus was full of chinese...as in realli chinese chinese... they blabber in loud voices, rushed to get down buses first... and complain here n there... kinda too irritating for my liking... but still...gotta bear with it...bahh~

Day 1:
our first day drive down was to lake havasu to see the london bridge... i was expecting like mabbe a huge lake with a gigantic bridge spanning across the lake...but then...it's kinda small...and pathetic... you'll see from the pics... den after which we went down to laughlin which is where our hotel is located... it's like in the middle of nowhere... juz smack rite in a desert with casinos n hotels... kinda interesting place... but the weather is hot la... and i thot desert are supposed to be cold at nite lor... it defies everything i learn in geography sia... damn qi guai! but at least the hotel's decent... and the beds are big...

Day 2:
this is my fave day for the trip..cuz we actualli went down to Grand Canyon... as u all know, Grand Canyon is one of the 7 wonders of the world...and the chance to be at the place is really good... mabbe to some seeing a big gap aint nothing much..but to mi...the view was simply spectacular... it's like so breath-taking that it takes ur breath away... (pardon the pun...i duno how to describe it...) from the edge of the canyon, u can see the drop like thousands of feet away... and falling down from it...will be a long painful process... a pity we din managed to go to the sky walk which is on the other rim... and the time spend there was abit too short for my liking.... after grand canyon...we begin to make our way down to Las Vegas...

in vegas itself, our hotel was actualli in downtown vegas...directly opposite fremont street... Fremont street is actualli the place where they film the 赌侠大战拉斯惟加斯 ( the andy lau movie)... it's filled with strip clubs and casinos... pretty good place...but abit too quiet... after tt, we went down to the Las Vegas strip itself...where all the famous hotels are... MGM Grand, Caesar Palace, Bellagio etc etc... it's interesting to see all the diff architecture that the hotels took to entice ppl... it was a pretty impressive sight... the thing tt impressed mi the most was the Bellagio musical fountain show (think Ocean 11 final scene)... it was a great display of lights n music and water fountain...confirm qie Sentosa musical fountain... prove urself Sentosa, then i will support u ba... we tried to find some clubs to go for Vegas is famous for its nitescene... however, due to age limits.... we cant get in as our groups got ppl who are underage...a pity we missed the shows timing n can't club..so kinda felt like it was a wasted trip... at least some of the other gals managed to go watch guys strip shows! bah~ we tried our hands at some of the slots machine back in our hotel...and i lost a grand total of 2USD...wahhahaa

Day3:
day 3 was supposed to be some shopping at factory outlets....nothing much worth mentioning since the outlets that we went to have nothing much...oh..i blew 100 bucks on coach stuffz.... and i can't figure out for nuts what's the fascination about coach stuffz...oh well... genuine leather, nice design...mmm... i wonder.... but since the queen of coach (XY) saes so... so it shall be... well...that's all for Las Vegas....

Photos!

the London Bridge...it's realli imported from London.. ya..i wonder why...

losing control...

juz woke up from a dream...and that reminds me of something that happened at farmer's market yesterday... and that led me to a conclusion...if u let a guy go....eventually he will come back...but somehow, girls juz gotta keep asking where this guy is where that guy is... although it may be a case by case basis, somehow i got the general feeling that gals sometimes tend to keep track of guys' whereabouts more... as we are touring, whenever a guy leave the group, my tendency is just oh well, he'll be back..just wait here lor... whereas for gals, normally they'll be like...eh..where they go...someone call them leiz... mmmm...does that symbolize they care more than guys in general?? perhaps...but somehow, it does feel like they are unwilling to lose control of guys and therefore must track them....

perhaps...tracking is good...but i guess i'm not a FEDex parcel... i dun like to be tracked.. i like to roam ard alot... and i guess....caring is not equivalent to control..at least in my case... mabbe that's why there's the saying if you love the person, set them free... i do not need to be free..but i just wanna have my freedom...

Wait For You by Elliott Yamin.

I never felt nothing in the world like this before
Now I’m missing you and I’m wishing you would come back through my door
Why did you have to go?
You could have let me know; so now I’m all alone

Girl you could have stayed but you wouldn’t give me a chance
With you not around it’s a little bit more than I can stand
And all my tears they keep runnin’ down my face
Why did you turn away?

So why does your pride make you run and hide
Are you that afraid of me?
But I know it’s a lie what you keep inside
This is not how you want it to be

So baby I will wait for you
Cause I don’t know what else I can do
Don’t tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I find it just ain’t true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do
I’ll wait for you

Been a long time since you called me
(How could you forget about me)
You gotta be feeling crazy
How can you walk away
(When) Everything stays the same
I just can’t do it baby

What will it take to make you come back
Girl I told you what it is and it just ain’t like that
Why can’t you look at me?
You’re still in love with me
Don’t leave me crying

Baby why can’t we just start all over again
Get it back to the way it was
If you give me a chance I can love you right
But you’re telling me it won’t be enough

So baby I will wait for you
Cause I don’t know what else I can do
Don’t tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I find it just ain’t true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do
I’ll wait for you

So why does your pride make you run and hide
Are you that afraid of me?
But I know it’s a lie what you’re keeping inside
That is not how you want it to be

Baby I will wait for you
Baby I will wait for you
If it’s the last thing I do

Baby I will wait for you
Cause I don’t know what else I can do
Don’t tell me I ran out of time
If it takes the rest of my life

Baby I will wait for you
If you think I find it just ain’t true
I really need you in my life
No matter what I have to do
I’ll wait for you
I’ll be waiting …

of San Fran and Yosemite~

okiez...after a few days of MIA, i'm finally back in action... went to san francisco over the weekend... had a marvelous trip...cramp like so many things into the 3 days i was there...totally worth the trip down to the place...the view was magnificent, you see things u never see before... it's way coool la~ shall break it up into days and share with u all...ahaha...

Day 1:
had difficulties finding transport down to SF...cuz we need a big SUV but den due to the last min booking we made...there's like none available til late...so we spent the whole morning finding diff car rental companies to enquire abt SUV...in the end..we finalli gotten 1 SUV ard 12 plus...but tt's like spoil our plan of leaving at 9...thus in the end..we oni began our drive at 2.30pm...

our first stop was actually monterey...which is abt 100 plus miles south of San Fran... we took this highway 1 which was a coastal route which was super scenic...along the way, we see like wineries, mountains...and even the pacific oceans! all the mountain roads were so damn long and windy la...it makes me feels like i'm in the initial D movie lor...trying to make all the twists n turns... but it was damn fun... we had like a few photo stops along the way and took alot of funny fotos...ahaha... we ended up in monterey oni at ard 10plus 11... in which we had dinner at Denny's...everyone was like so tired from being cooped up in the car too...so we juz had a quick dinner and went off to SF... good thing the "hotel" was decent..big enuf for 5 of us in the room...

Day 2:
our day in san fran todae is set to be a city exploratory tour... we went down to Fishermen's wharf, Pier 39, took a cruise in the Bay of san francisco to see the famous Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge and even Alcatraz island, had some yummy clam chowder, did abit of shopping, went down the world's crookedest road, Lombard street(which is like an extended S-course), and had dinner at this super wonderful chinese restaurant(their chinese food is simply superb...) basically that's about all we did...and it's actually quite alot lor...

Day 3:
Day 3 was to make our way back to LA and to go Yosemite National Park... Yosemite houses one of the largest granite valleys and also have the Giant Redwood Sequoia trees that are thousands of years old... the view was superbly brilliant... when you are standing in front of valleys and trees that are at least a hundred times older than you... it makes you realize the insignificance of yourself in this world...but the impact that you do can harm the world so much...it reminds us the importance of conservation....i'm not a pro-enviromentalist at heart... but i still find it in me to love nature...i love the peace, the serenity of it... i kinda looking forward to seeing grand canyon... haha...afterall, it's one of the 7 wonders of the world...

well...okiez...here's some pics for u folks! enjoy the view~

damn economics...

i'm starting to see econs in my everyday life...the thoughts of MSB(marginal social benefit) and MSC(marginal social cost) keep running through my head... even things like wat's the benefit of crossing the streets compare to the risk n cost involved in crossing it...den to the utility and satisfaction i derive from eating a burger... everything suddenly involves econs... this is madness... the mid term is driving me bonkers...bah~ and it's just later! sianz....
