For her:

He was just another lab partner. Or maybe, worst than her previous lab partner. At least her previous lab partner had look slightly better. This new lab partner of her, he looked like he was still a high schooler and not an undergraduate at all. But oh well, she still got to be civil to him, for she’s now stuck with him as a lab partner.

Every lab sessions, she finds him very eager to help her out. He’ll offer her little snacks and drinks and even assisted her in clearing up after the lab session. It’s him who wants to help, and I didn’t ask him to. To her, he’s just another one of those guys who’s eager to please, and occasionally, she’ll give them a pat on the head and they’ll be happy wagging their tails at her. She just can’t stand such people. To her, people who are pleasing just have some ulterior motive. And these are the kind of people she can’t trust.

And that’s the reason why she always seems so aloof and cold in school. Even though she’s popular and such, there’re not many people she would call friends or even talk to. She’ll rather be left alone to herself, and left alone to bear the burden of the family herself.

Her mother had died when she was giving birth to her sister. And her father had worked hard to make ends meet to bring up the 2 daughters. There was just one little problem. He was also an alcoholic. Whenever he was drunk and in a bad mood, Ms Stunning and her sister will suffer her father’s wrath. He blamed his daughters for the loss of his wife whenever he was drunk, and unleashed the occasional punches or two on them. But all that was only when he was drunk. Apart from that, he was an okay father. Really.

And this is why she can’t trust people. Even her father who is a nice guy turned ugly when his drunk. And she was scared of the fact that people might see her differently when they know her family condition. And so, she avoided all topics about her family as much as possible. But recently, her father had lost his job. And of course, he sank further and further into alcohol dependency. She began to start dreading to return home, as she’ll only find her father roaring drunk. In school, she was the confident gal that everyone wanted to be, but at home, she was just another simple gal who wanted to get away from her life.

She loves the rain. She loves listening to the pitter patter of the rain drops. She loves to see the rain falling from the skies and dashing themselves into pieces on the ground below. She loves the way the air and skies feel cleaner after the rain. And she wishes that the rains could wash all her troubles and dash all these troubles into little pieces. And so, whenever it rain, her eyes would look into the distant horizon and imagine herself falling and breaking into million tiny pieces.
